Happy new year in different languages slj

We were learning about happy new year in different languages we had to make a poster with at least five different languages of how to say happy new year.

I found it easy to make my poster look cool and make the words look visible.

I found it hard to try and pronounce the different languages and say happy new year in their language.

Next time I will do ten different languages to say happy new year.

  1. Kia ora Tilly, Elle here again from SLJ.

You have done a terrific job at saying Happy New Year in 10 different languages - ka mau te wehi! I really like that you’ve put them in alphabetical order too - this is always very pleasing to the eye and shows your great organisational skills! I also think your DLO is fantastic - the font is clear and easy to read, and you have lots of great contrasting colours alongside the fireworks!

Have you had a go at saying them out loud? Sometimes a translator has a little megaphone symbol next to it that you can click and it will teach you how to pronounce it correctly! Which one do you think would be the most difficult to say aloud?

Ngā mihi nui and keep it up!
